Dr. Shabbir Mohamedali
Dr Shabbir Mohamedali is widely known as one of the top dentists in Tanzania. He received his Bachelor's degree from Bapuji Dental College where he specialised in dental surgery in 1994. After graduating from dental school he worked at the Arusha Ithnasheri Hospital and later completed his internship at Muhimbili National Hospital.
In 1998 Dr Shabbir established a dental department at Ebrahim Haji Charitable Hospital where he worked for one year. He then started his own private practice, S.D. Dental Clinic, and subsequently opened a dental laboratory in the year 2000. This laboratory is still the only ceramic lab in Tanzania. Technicians were brought from countries around the world to work in the laboratory during its first year and to train the local technicians.
After a few years of running his dental practice, Dr Shabbir went to further his studies in Singapore. It was there that he gained his certificate in dental implants. Upon his return, he expanded his clinic to include these emergency procedures and make use of the newest technologies in Dentistry. He is recognised for his excellence in clinical programmes and for his sound business practise.
He is married and is blessed with three children. His hobbies include playing basketball, volleyball, football and reading.
Dr. Archana
Dr Archana received her Bachelor's degree in Science at SDM College of Dental Sciences in Mangalore. She began her career practising at the A.J. institute of Dental Science in Dharwad, India.
Since then, Dr Archana has been at the forefront of developments in Dentistry and is dedicated in providing her patients with the best care that Dentistry has to offer.
Dr Archana was born in Mangalore, India. She is married and is blessed with a son.
Dr. Israel Beatus Kombole
Dr Israel is a Dental Surgeon at SD Dental Clinic. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). He completed his internship at Muhimbili National Hospital and later joined SD Dental Clinic in 2007.
With years of experience Dr Israel is dedicated to making his patients feel comfortable and pays a lot of attention to safety and creating a stress-free environment. For patients who need to undergo extensive procedures, he plays a major role in the patient's comfort. He likes to perform minor oral surgeries and is very competent at them.
Dr Israel is married and is blessed with two beautiful daughters. He is enjoys Kung-Fu, boxing and playing the piano
Dr. Nathan Kitio Psiwa
Dr Nathan Kitio Psiwa is the Orthodontist at SD Dental Clinic. He holds a Masters degree in Orthodontics from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa that he attained in 2005. He is a recognised Orthodontist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners' and Dentists' Board in 2007.
A lengthy working experience has equipped Dr Nathan with the ability to perform smile makeovers comprehensively. He has the specialised training necessary to prevent, diagnose and treat a wide variety of dental conditions.
Dr Nathan also keeps himself up-to-date on the most current and the latest advances in research and treatment. His patients can rest assured that they will get the most advanced care available.
Dr Nathan enjoys playing sports and travelling.
Mr. Rashid
Mr Rashid is the Dental Ceramist at SD Dental Clinic. He holds diplomas in Dental Hygiene and Dental Ceramics from De Montmorency College of Dentistry in Lahore, Pakistan.
Proficient at his work, Mr Rashid did his internship in Lahore and has since worked at several laboratories and hospitals. He finally joined SD Dental Clinic in 2007. He is dedicated to the art and science of Ceramic Dentistry and loves to create beautiful smiles.
His dynamic and keen interest in the field of Dentistry in general has kept him abreast of the latest treatment techniques and he has a sound knowledge of dental equipment and material.
