I, Dr. Shabbir Mohamedali, married with two kids, graduated at Bapuji Dental College with a degree in Bachelors in Dental Surgery in the year 1994. Being a Tanzanian citizen I choose to come back home and did my Internship in Dar es Salaam at the Muhimbili National Hospital in the year 1996.
Before joining the National Hospital I worked in Arusha Ithnaasheri Hospital with a very senior dentist and gained a lot of practical experience in 1995. This is where I met my life partner and got married. After finishing my Internship I joined Ebrahim Haji Charitable Hospital in 1998 and I was the one who started the dental department. I Worked with them for a year and moved on to establish my own dental practice in 1999 and called it SD DENTAL CLINIC. In 2000 I started a Dental Lab which was fully equipped for the porcelain dental crowns and bridges as well as all types of plastics prosthesis. I am now running this clinic for the past 6 years, have two dental chairs, three dental technicians and a very good administrative staff. We give the best service and we try to be as prompt as possible. We do all types of dental work under one roof. We have now started Dental implants for which I have done my training and course in Singapore in October 2004. We treat you with state of the art equipments. Laboratory
Our Dental Ceramic Lab was established in 1999 December. All the equipments are from France and being the first of its kind in the country, we had no trained Dental Technician specialized in Ceramic/Porcelain work, in whole of Tanzania. So we got an expatriate from India and started the Lab fully equipped on the 19th of December, 1999. Our technician Mr. Pradeep worked with us for one year during which he trained two of our local technicians. We then had a German Lady technician Miss Monica who joined us from February 2001. Being a lady she had a very fine artistic touch to her work from which our local technicians learnt and benefited a lot. She again had to leave us after a year. In October 2002 Mr. Derrick Naude from South Africa joined us who again worked for a year and by then one of our local technicians Mr. Ewald Nyaki was fully trained to be a Dental Ceramist. We now have three technicians working for us as under: 1)Mr. Ewald Nyaki (Dental Ceramist) 2)Miss Janet 3)Mr. Peter Msoka They are all very well trained and experienced technicians. We do all types of crown and bridge work, acrylic dentures, chrome dentures, braces and repair work. We try our best to give you the most excellent service possible.
